Ripple Catalyst Studios develops and produces creative live experiences that highlight some of the most critical social justice issues of our times. As catalysts for change, we disrupt existing ways of thinking and push the boundaries to bring energy and momentum to new ideas.

 

We are dedicated to emphasizing the ripple effect we have on one another, our communities and the world. It is in these connections that true transformation takes place.

Cecile Lipworth

Chief Rippler

Cecile is a passionate change-maker, recognized as a leader and catalyst in movement building, supporting social change on a global scale. She is the host of the weekly feminist radio show, Brave Space. Cecile consults with state-wide and international women-led organizations harnessing her expertise in movement building, event producing, fundraising, marketing and communications to support their work.

 

Prior to founding Ripple, she worked for 15 years at the intersection of art and activism at V-Day, playwright Eve Ensler’s (The Vagina Monologues) global movement to end gender based violence. As Managing Director she manifested the vision for V-Day to change culture in the way the issue of gender-based violence is talked about, creating a global grassroots leadership model based in art and activism, that raised over $100 million for local community organizations working to end violence. 

She grew up in South Africa and has lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico for 22 years.

Julia Abbiss

Associate Director

 

Julia has worked with nonprofits in the United States and abroad on issues related to women’s empowerment, education access, rural community development,  reproductive justice, music education, and water conservation. Julia obtained her master's degree in Nonprofit Management from Johnson & Wales University. She has a bachelor’s in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management, with concentrations in environmental sustainability, ecotourism, and sociology, also from Johnson & Wales.

Julia's skillset in event production, communication strategy, web and graphic design, and fundraising enhance the work of Ripple Catalyst Studio.

When she's not planning events or raising money, Julia can be found on a local hiking trail, eating a breakfast burrito, or binging the latest true-crime documentary.
